The path to sustainability and decent jobs

The goal of this development programme is to support two local community organizations from Boldești-Scăeni, a town in southern Romania, to set up a social enterprise that will create decent jobs for the local community members.

Our team will work side-by-side with the two organizations – Cerc Boldești Scăeni and Light for Roma Association –  to improve their long term strategic fundraising capacity.

Activities Planned
  • Three sustainability workshops for the local nonprofit and social enterprise teams
  • 18 months of tailored support for the social venture and the two nonprofits
  • In depth performance tracking with our Performance Radar
  • Market and opportunity assessments
  • Financial investment (seed capital)
IMpact & RESULTS
  • One social enteprise created – a construction company
  • 24 000 EUR Venture Grant invested
  • Between 3-5 decent jobs will be created
  • About 5-10 subsidized housing projects executed for the vulnerable members of the community
  • Two sustainability plans created and co-implemented with two local nonprofits from Boldești-Scăeni
