One challenge:

to catalyze the strategic fundraising capacity and impact of 12 young Romanian NGOs.

In partnership with Norsensus Mediaforum from Oslo, Norway, we aim to consolidate the financial sustainability and governance of 12 Romanian NGOs active in the areas of local and community development, education or social organizations providing direct support and social services to vulnerable or disadvantaged people.

ACTIVITIES PLANNED
  • We’ll launch an open call to select 12 visionary Romanian NGOs that show significant potential for development and increase of their organizational impact in the local communities they serve;
  • Organising two Growth Camps for the selected cohort, focused on addressing key fundraising themes: strategic planning, communications, storytelling, strategic institutional fundraising, board development, consortia building, networking and social entrepreneurship; 
  • Recruiting a network of mentors to provide one-to-one support to the cohort on various fundraising and organizational development areas: crowdfunding, project writing, organizing fundraising events, sponsorships, communication;
  • We’ll provide direct, tailored support for each NGO in their efforts to build and run an effective fundraising system, we’ll be providing feedback, guidance and tailored tools for a duration of 18 months;
  • Creating a free online course (MOOC): “Introduction to Strategic Fundraising”. 
IMPACT & RESULTS
  • 12 emerging NGOs will benefit from the comprehensive technical assistance programme aimed at developing their strategic institutional fundraising capacity;
  • At least 6 mentors will join us in helping organisations to become sustainable and diversify their sources of income;
  • 1 free online MOOC course is created.
