Sonia Oprean

Co-founder and Co-CEO

Sonia has experience in management consulting and financial services throughout 3 geographies: The Philippines, Romania and India. She started her journey in the impact sector working for Villgro Innovations Foundation, India, and continued as the Senior Portfolio Manager of NESsT Romania. She is an experienced trainer and an active mentor, providing strategic planning support on Finance, Business Performance Management, Human Resources & Governance, Fundraising and Impact Measurement to a significant number of social enterprises and NGOs.

Previous professional experience includes 4 years with PricewaterhouseCoopers, Romania and 1 year in the Philippines, where she coordinated an international team in establishing a legal process outsourcing company from ground zero.

She is the author of „The Financial Sustainability of Social Enterprises in Romania”, the first study focused on assessing the financial performance of the Romanian social enterprise sector and Board Member of Mai Bine, one of the pioneer organizations working for sustainable development in Romania for almost 10 years.

Daniela Florentina Gheorghe

Expert dezvoltare întreprinderi și antreprenor social

Cu peste 10 ani de experiență de lucru, Daniela și-a început cariera în România, lucrând în marketing politic, după care s-a specializat în sprijinirea unor start-up-uri de impact din India. A petrecut 7 ani în India, unde a sprijinit creșterea a 4 afaceri, în 4 state și în 4 sectoare diferite. În 2014, a înființat V-chalk, o companie de educație prin tehnologie, multipremiată, ce avea ca viziune îmbunătățirea modalității de învățare a limbii engleze de către elevii fără posibilități materiale, utilizând principii de educație validate.

În 2018, Daniela a fost distinsă cu bursa Skoll de către Centrul Skoll pentru Antreprenoriat Social și de către Fundația Skoll, și a terminat un MBA la Universitatea din Oxford.

Pe Daniela o entuziasmează lucrul cu antreprenorii de impact și că poate contribui la creșterea semnificativă a unor întreprinderi. O caracterizează o abordare orientată spre acțiune, atenția la detalii, excelente abilități de comunicare, curajul de a pune întrebările dificile, capacitatea de a gestiona conflicte și capacitatea de a asculta și a promova transformările necesare într-o echipă.

Florin Ghindă

Fondator, romaniapozitiva.ro, trainer, facilitator

Florin este trainer și facilitator pentru diverse proiecte educaționale. În ultimii 16 ani a livrat cursuri pentru mai mult de 8000 de participanți.

Florin este specializat în livrarea unor traininguri esențiale pe diverse teme, cum sunt: orientare spre soluții, formare de formatori, antreprenoriat social, management de proiect, design centrat pe oameni (human centered design), negociere, managementul echipelor, recrutare și selecție, respectiv managementul carierei.

Mai mult, Florin a moderat și moderează o serie de conferințe și evenimente de impact cum sunt TEDx București, Social Impact Award, evenimentele Impact Hub, RoWin, Diplohack, Shift+Vieți, Programul de leadership al Institutului Aspen, Bucharest Integrity Gathering, Conferința despre fericire, „Fabricat în Țara lui Andrei”, NESsT și OMV Petrom, WWF Green Schools.

Florin a acumulat peste 16 ani de experiență în training și consultanță în AIMS România și în cadrul Institutului Român de training, industria FMCG, lucrând pentru InBev România și cu Godrej Sara Lee India.

Florin lucrează cu clienți din diverse industrii precum bănci și finanțe, automotive, IT, FMCG și comunitatea ONG. Florin este trainer certificat ANC, White Belt la ABInBev. Îi place să utilizeze instrumente și procese de tipul „art of hosting”, teoria „U”, Business Mode Canvas și metodologia de design centrat pe oameni și resurse legate de TED.

Dragoș Gavrilescu

Design Thinking expert

Dragoș Gavrilescu este inițiatorul primei comunități de Design Thinking din România și fondator al Design Thinking Society. Înainte de a se specializa în design thinking, Dragoș a activat ca CEO, apoi, timp de 4 ani, în calitate de consultant în afaceri, având clienți din peste 13 țări, pe 4 continente. Experiența sa include lucrul în industrii precum FMCG, industria farmaceutică și de cercetare a pieței.

Dragoș este, de asemenea, investitor și susținător al start-up-rilor și a întreprinderilor sociale, cărora le oferă mentorat și coaching personalizat.

Constantin Pătăşanu

Manufacturing expert, trainer and consultant

Constantin a lucrat mai bine de 4 ani pentru Takata Petri Steering Wheels, coordonând proiecte pentru General Motors, Ford și Mercedes. În 2009 și-a început activitatea pentru Johnson Controls Company în calitate de Continuous Improvement Manager (Manager îmbunătățiri continue), o fabrică ce produce structuri metalice pentru scaunele de automobile, respectiv mecanisme. Aici, în iunie 2014, a devenit Senior Continuous Improvement Manager pe regiunea Europa.

Din 2007, Constantin lucrează ca senior trainer și consultant pentru EMC Consulting, livrând cursuri și diverse proiecte de consultanță clienților EMC. În decursul carierei sale, a lucrat cu peste 4000 de persoane, participanți la diverse sesiuni de instruire sau consultanță, totalizând un număr de peste 7000 de ore de training și consultanță.

Constantin este certificat de către
IASSC cu Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, Certificat ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949:2016, VDA 6.3 Qualification for Process Auditor, auditor intern conform ISO 19011, Lean Manufacturing, Kepner Tregoe (KT), REFA, APIS – IQRM FMEA.

De asemenea, este certificat de către CNFPA ca trainer și manager de proiect, de către EANLP ca Master NLP, și de către Human Synergistics, pentru utilizarea unor instrumente de dezvoltare personale și de echipă, (LSI, LI & GSI).

Constantin este inginer și a absolvit facultatea de Mecanică, secția Roboți Industriali, din cadrul Universității Politehnica din Timișoara

Constantin se definește ca o persoană plină de energie, pozitivă, organizată, deschisă spre noi idei. Experiența sa profesională include peste 12 ani petrecuți în industria de automotive, pentru companii multinaționale, respectiv peste 12 în domeniul de training și consultanță.

Cristina Donoaică

Consultant în investiții

Consultant și investitor de profesie, cu o experiență vastă de lucru în sectorul de private equity, consultanță strategică și management financiar. Cu un doctorat în chimie și un MBA, Cristina Donoaică îmbină ariile tehnice și de business pentru a sprijini și crește start-up-uri, pentru a consolida și dezvolta investiții în sectoare precum telecom, retail, industria farmaceutică, servicii medicale, servicii industriale, reciclare și imobiliare, atât în România, cât și în Spania.

De asemenea, Cristina a administrat cu succes proiecte complexe de restructurare a unor companii aflate în dificultate din portofoliul său de investiții și a reușit să stabilizeze investiții afectate de conduita antreprenorilor sau de schimbări în mediul economic, fiscal sau legislativ. De asemenea, a încheiat o serie de exit-uri profitabile, prin vânzarea companiilor.

Activitatea ei de consultanță s-a axat cu precădere pe management financiar, planificare strategică, pentru a crește IMM-uri, prin sprijinirea echipelor de management să planifice, să implementeze și să controleze dezvoltarea afacerii lor și a organizației, în sectoare precum alimente ambalate, echipamente electrice de exterior și alte industrii.

Mara Oltean

Co-fondator și Manager Financiar

Mara este managerul financiar și operațional al Synerb. Mara a ocupat în trecut poziția de consultant financiar la NESsT România și la Centrul Euroregional pentru Democrație. Timp de 20 de ani, Mara a coordonat și a implementat managementul financiar a peste 75 de programe și proiecte finanțate din fonduri publice sau private. Își împarte timpul între București și Timișoara și îi place jazz-ul.

Zoltan Bereczki

Co-fondator și Co-CEO

Zoltan coordonează activitatea Synerb.

Zoltan a fost membru în consiliul director al organizației internaționale NESsT România și în același timp director național, apoi, timp de 7 ani director regional de portofoliu pentru România și Balcani, sprijinind peste 200 de afaceri sociale și ONG-uri – prin mentorat, training și consultanță – în dezvoltarea modelelor lor de business, în diverse etape de dezvoltare. În această funcție a coordonat timp de nouă ani activitatea, investițiile și granturile organizației, gestionând un portofoliu de cca. 1.5 milioane de dolari.

Înainte de asta, Zoltan a lucrat la Centrul Euroregional pentru Democrație, implementând o serie de programe de dezvoltare economică și de cooperare transfrontalieră în regiunea Balcani și în Europa Centrală. Este membru în diverse organizații locale și Fellow al The Aspen Institute. A conceput și participat în numeroase proiecte antreprenoriale în calitate de membru al juriului sau în diverse comisii de evaluare și investiție (CSR Awards, Social Impact Award, ș.a.). În timpul liber ajută lideri tineri ai societății civile să-și să înființeze organizații antreprenoriale și ocazional joacă teatru într-o trupă de amatori.

Sonia Oprean

Co-founder & Co-CEO

Sonia manages the Synerb portfolio, develops the management tools and the organizational strategy to support our social enterprises and visionary NGOs. Sonia was the Senior Portfolio Manager of NESsT Romania, a global organization that supports social enterprises, where she designed and implemented entrepreneurial education and mentorship programs for over 140 social entrepreneurs and nonprofits, while being an active mentor in Financial Management, Human Resources, Fundraising, Social Impact, and Business Performance Management. Before joining NESsT, she worked in India for Villgro Innovations Foundation, the oldest and most reputed social enterprise incubator in the country.

Her professional experience includes 4 years with PwC Romania and one year in the Philippines, where she coordinated an international team in establishing a legal process outsourcing company. Sonia holds an Advanced Diploma in Accounting and Business from ACCA and is the author of the first research on the financial sustainability of social enterprises in Romania. She is a Board Member of Mai Bine, one of the pioneers in sustainable development in Romania and an aspiring data scientist.

Simon David

Senior software engineer

David is a senior software engineer and he is helping Synerb to develop a tech product for the early stage social enterprise sector. 

Cristina Donoaică

Investment consultant

Investment professional and consultant with a vast experience of working in private equity investments and in strategic and financial management consultancy.

Having both a technical and business background as a PhD chemist and an MBA graduate, she successfully completed and managed start-ups, turnaround, growth and buy-and-build investments in sectors of telecom retail, pharmaceuticals, healthcare services, industrial services, scrap recycling and real estate in Romania and Spain. She successfully managed the financial distress of investee companies and saved investments adversely affected by changes in the entrepreneur’s conduct and/or in the economic, fiscal and legislative environment. She also completed a series of profitable exits through trade sale.

Her consultancy activity was mostly concentrated on financial management and strategic planning of growth for small and medium enterprises by closely supporting the management teams to plan, implement and control the development of their businesses and organization in sectors like packaged food, outdoor power equipment and other industries.

Venture growth expert & social entrepreneur

With 10+ years of experience, Daniela started in political marketing in Romania and specialized in impact driven start-ups in India. She spent 7 years in India and helped grow 4 businesses, across 4 sectors and 4 states. She founded vChalk in 2014, an award-winning for-profit education technology company,  with a vision to use evidence based solutions to improve English learning outcomes of low-income students. In 2018, Daniela received the Skoll scholarship by the Skoll Centre for Social Entrepreneurship and the Skoll Foundation and completed her MBA from Oxford University.

Daniela is really excited about working closely with amazing entrepreneurs and contributing to the strategic growth of impact businesses at scale. She brings to the table a get-it-done approach, attention to details, great communication skills, the courage to ask difficult questions and manage conflicts, and a great ability to listen and to promote change in diverse teams.

Florin Ghindă

Founder of romaniapozitiva.ro, trainer, facilitator

Florin is a trainer and facilitator for different educational projects and he delivered his trainings to more than 8000 participants during the last 16 years. Florin is specialized in delivering key trainings on topics such as solution thinking, train the trainers, social entrepreneurship and project management, human centered design, negotiation, team management, recruitment and selection, and career management.

Moreover, Florin been actively moderating high-impact conferences and events such as TEDx Bucharest, Social Impact Award, Impact HUB events, RoWin, Diplohack, Shift+Vieți, ASPEN Leadeship Program, Bucharest Integrity Gathering, The Conference about Happiness, “Fabricat în Țara lui Andrei” with NESsT & Petrom, WWF Green Schools.

Florin gained more than 16 years of working experience in training and consultancy within AIMS Romania and the Romanian Institute of Training, the FMCG industry, working for InBev Romania, and Godrej Sara Lee India. He works with clients from various industries: financial and banking, automotive, IT, FMCG and the NGO community.

Florin is A.N.C. certificated trainer, White Belt @ ABInBev. He loves to work with the art of hosting and processes tools, the “U” theory, Business Model Canvas and Human Centered Design methodology, and TED related resources.

Dragoș Gavrilescu

Design Thinking expert

Dragoș Gavrilescu founded both the first Romanian Design Thinking Community and the Design Thinking Society. Before specializing in Design Thinking, Dragoș was a CEO, and then a business consultant for four years, working with his clients spread in 13 countries on four continents. His experience also includes working in the FMCG, pharma and market research industries. Dragos is an investor and a supporter of startups and social enterprises, providing them mentoring and coaching.

Constantin Pătăşanu

Manufacturing expert, trainer and consultant

Constantin worked more than 4 years for Takata Petri Steering Wheels as a Project Coordinator for General Motors, Ford and Mercedes. In 2009, he started working as a Continuous Improvement Manager for Johnson Controls Company, a plant producing metallic seats structure for cars and mechanisms, where, in June 2014, he became Senior Continuous Improvement Manager for Europe.

Since 2007, Constantin works as a Senior Trainer and Consultant for EMC Consulting, where he delivers technical consultancy and trainings to all EMC customers. During his career, he has worked with over 4000 participants in different training and consultancy sessions and he delivered over 7000 hours of training and consulting.

Mara Oltean

Co-founder & Finance Manager

Mara is the operational and financial manager of Synerb. Mara was the Finance Specialist of NESsT and the Euroregional Center for Democracy. For the past 20 years, Mara has been leading the financial management of over 75 programs and organisations working with public and private funds. She divides her time between Bucharest and Timișoara, and she loves jazz music.

Zoltan Bereczki

Co-founder & Co-CEO

Zoltan is the manager of Synerb.

He was a Board Member and the Romanian Country Director of the international organisation NESsT, then, for seven years,  the Regional Portfolio Director for Romania and the Balkans. He contributed to the growth and development of over 200 social enterprises and nonprofit organizations through strategic advisory services, training and tailored consulting.  For nine years, he coordinated the organisation’s activities,  investments and grants, managing a portfolio of 1.5 million US dollars.

Before joining NESsT, he developed a series of economic development and international cooperation programs with the Euroregional Center for Democracy, specifically in the Balkans and Central Europe. He is a member of numerous local organisations and an Aspen Fellow. He is an active jury member in several social entrepreneurship competitions and impact competitions (CSR Awards, Social Impact Award) and he is involved in a number of projects developing the social business ecosystem in the region. In his spare time, he is an advisor for entrepreneurial young civil society leaders and an amateur actor.
